Overnight oats are the perfect way to start the day. This no-fuss, no cooking required chocolate overnight oat recipe has you bouncing out of bed, knowing that breakfast is ready and waiting. There is nothing better than arriving home after a workout and knowing the meal prep is done, or better still overnight oats are so darn tote-able, just soak in a jar or container and they are a portable breakfast on the go!

Chocolate Overnight Oats
Ingredients
- 300 gram rolled oats
- 1 litre milk of choice
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup yoghurt
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a large bowl or another individual storage container. Give it a stir to combine and then seal and refrigerate overnight. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
- When ready to serve to add to a bowl and stir to combine. Add a little more milk if too thick/thinner consistency is desired.
- Serve with chopped strawberries or blueberries
