This Week in Habits, Health and Fitness News

With so much reading done over the holidays it’s time again to share my favourite habits, health and fitness news links that were worthy enough to bookmark.  These are the headlines that caught my attention, and offer advice on the principles we often chat about here on Ironmum Karla.

Also, this week I  started up a Karla Gilbert Healthy Habits Support Page to add value and support to the Naked Habits EBook. There has been some great posts coming through with sharing of meals and workouts to help the accountability factor. Such a rad group of people and I look forward to growing this page in 2017.  If you are a past or present client and have not received your invite please make contact and I can add you to the members list.  It is a closed group and a safe place to offer and seek encouragement (hint, hint to all the shy ones).

So to get things started the health and fitness news links that caught my eye during the past week  are…

Why It’s High Time We Changed Our Attitudes About Addiction

I shared this on my facebook page last week and it proved to be popular.

After losing someone close last year to addiction and helping many clients through their own habitual struggles, this article beautifully explains why addiction needs to be viewed as a ‘habit of the mind’

My understanding of neural pathways and ‘cells that fire together, wire together’ has been greatly influenced by the great man Ken Ware and his ground breaking work and it’s an exciting time for anyone that wants to take responsibility for their own self- organising system. {Aeon}
