C’mon, Get Motivated to Shed Old Habits!

Is it true that you have tried many weight loss techniques in the past and failed or returned to your old habits? How many years have you been attempting this crazy approach?

Seriously, what have you learned about yourself from each diet or failed resolution, and what have you done to maintain this?

For something to stick, you have to believe in it, give it a red hot go and not let anyone dissuade you. I firmly believe there is no such thing as a quick fix or shortcuts; it will only bring you back to where you started.

Without the right mindset or thoughts, you won’t change the way you feel and look.

This all begins with you. Health is everything. Are you ready to upgrade your life, shed old habits and influence the those around you?

Thoughts generate feelings, feelings generate actions, and actions generate outcomes. There are always circumstances that are a bit beyond your control, but how you navigate through them is up to you. The things you do, the way you think, the way you interpret different situations and, therefore, the way you feel and act are all choices you have to make. This means you can choose to think and act the same way and end up in the same place, or you could dare to do something different, even if it feels uncomfortable and challenging.

When you accept that your destiny is up to you, and that the decisions and actions you have chosen in the past have gotten you to your current position, you are in a great place to change, if you want it badly enough…

It is so easy to look outside of ourselves for a answer but in reality the answer is closer than many of us care to believe…

It’s time to stop the negative thoughts and feelings and to become consciously aware of promoting positive and constructive thoughts. This is where life dramatically changes.

How Motivated Are You To Shed Old Habits? Choose your level…

ONE

I walk down the street

There is a big hole in the side walk

I fall in

I am lost: hopeless

It isn’t my fault

It takes forever to find a way out

TWO

I walk down the same street

There is a deep hole in the side walk

I PRETEND I don’t see it

I fall in again

I cant believe I’m in the same place

But it’s my fault

It still takes a long time to get out

THREE

I walk down the same street

There is a deep hole in the side walk

I see it there

I fall in… its a habit

My eyes are open

I know where I am

Its my fault (responsibility?)

I get out immediately

FOUR

I walk down the same street

There is a deep hole in the side walk

I walk around it

FIVE

I walk down another street

Which level do you think you are on with different aspects of your life? The good news is there are strategies to help you improve your levels of readiness!

I designed my signature Karla Gilbert 7-week program to be unlike anything you’ve tried before with the ultimate goal to impart knowledge and develop strategies with a greater understanding of your current behaviours around your wellness to bring into your everyday life.

Lack of energy, uneven skin tone, sleep and stress issues are often a symptom of many problems. The disassociation between our minds and bodies is something we tend to overlook when it comes to finding our ideal weight, but this is a critical factor!

For example, I’ve had many occasions people approaching me for help with their eating plan. Sure I can recommend an eating plan that will help with reaching a goal weight but rarely is this the long term answer/problem. The answer lies deeper and involves discussions with yourself about why you choose the foods you do, react the way you do while recognising the triggers and emotions around these decisions. Habits evolve over years of practice and are super stubborn when matched with our egos.  It’s not until we take a step back to realise how they sabotage our goals and desires and have us running on autopilot.

Throughout the programs seven weeks lightbulb moments will appear…

  • Brace yourself for many ‘ah-ha’ moments as you contemplate and reevaluate your state of health more than ever before. Ask anyone living with disease (dis-ease) and they will tell you, health is everything. How do you think you can be the best mother to your kids, a good employee, partner/wife/husband and achieve your loftiest goals if you’re not in a good state of health to begin with? Enter and welcome the state of flow…
  • Show you strategies to help decrease and manage your stress levels as you recognise what the triggers are and how you deal with them. Now, this is going to improve the quality of your life beyond what you could imagine.
  • Allow you to find your ultimate energy as we explore dietary changes, fitness modifications and lifestyle changes. The secret is to not run out while learning how to work within the realms of your own personal boundaries.
  • Instead of constantly focussing on losing weight, you will gravitate more towards focussing on yourself wholeheartedly. Weight loss is often a by-product of becoming self-aware of the way you approach nutrition and fitness. It’s a sign of you returning to your optimal weight where you perform at your best. Years of dieting can lead to a disconnection between body and mind.  Overeating is common and willpower is often the only way known to deal with the loss of self.
  • Easily manage your weight sustainably through non-diet techniques without drastically restricting your food intake. I don’t convey a ‘diet’ as such, rather a way of eating while being aware of foods that cause inflammation and distress to our digestion, i.e. loss of energy. It’s a lovely feeling to be at peace with food, free of anxiety, through a healthy mind-body relationship.

In a nutshell, I’ll show you ways that I use to connect and focus on making better lifestyle choices.

To improve habits, we need to challenge these decisions to form the person we want to be. The way you are currently living is a direct result of the sum of your habits. Doesn’t that just blow your mind?
