Is there a healthy softdrink?

One of the best thing you can do when cleaning up your family’s diet is to reduce the amount of softdrink that gets consumed.  Unfortunately it’s become a staple in many trolleys (hint: just don’t walk down these isles in the supermarket) but even then whether you’re filing your car with petrol or buying a loaf of bread..the ease of buying a softdrink is probably society’s biggest downfall and BIGGEST contributor to obesity.

Our kids are being exposed to this ‘sometimes’ drink at alarming rates and shocking considered a ‘normal’ meal accompaniment. This significantly increases the amount of calories in the meal and can send a massive spike to their insulin levels.  Diabetes is one disease that comes to mind as does sugar rot on teeth, and this can all stem from only one softdrink a day.

Would you feed your child 15 teaspoons of sugar or chemicals? Or yourself for that matter…..Something to think about….

Artificial nasties can bring about allergic reactions and behavioural problems and if you take a look at the ingredients on the back of a softdrink can, it seems you need a science degree to know what they are, so, is there such a thing as a healthy softdrink?

This is why there has been a rise in organic softdrinks….it is a lot to ask that softdrink is eliminated totally from a fizzywater drinkers life.  Some days there is nothing better than cooling off and popping the top of nice beverage and this is where BIONADE enters the picture.

healthy softdrink

Non- alcoholic, certified 100% organic, low in sugar, 60 % less calories than mainstream softdrinks plus nothing nasty in the way of preservatives or artificial colours makes Bionade a pretty darn good alternative! Fermented like a German beer – just without the alcohol – Bionade has not been an overnight success. 10 years of experimenting to get the correct fermentation process plus a knock back to Coke to buy it from it’s German owner makes this drink something special.

I have tasted Bionade and can vouch for the fantastic flavours – my favourite is lychee but elderberry, lychee and ginger/orange come a close second.bionade
