It’s the weekend, if you are physically inclined in anyway I bet there are some plans to venture out into the great outdoors and get active.
But…when the time comes, something stops you in your tracks – it’s been a big week and the sleep monster has hit you hard…sound familiar?
Sure, listening to your body has it’s merits, but is the fatigue only mental?
Studies show that working out won’t actually make the eyelids droop any lower but in fact boost your energy and aid in a better nights sleep.
I totally vouch for this, and know that to get energy sometimes you have to give some first, energy attracts energy. Exercise encourages the heart and lungs to pump oxygen and nutrients to tissues, which leaves us feeling more energised.
The good news is it doesn’t have to be much and your hitout can be as little as 20 minutes to feel the benefits.
So this weekend consider a leisurely bike ride or walk to the park instead of sitting on the couch or computer all day…you might just surprise yourself…you certainly won’t regret it!
