Raw choc mud slice

PicMonkey+Collage5 - Raw choc mud slice

I have a little secret to share, and it is for all chocolate lovers out there…this is one chocolate slice you must try.  You would be fooled into thinking this is a chocolate mud cake…seriously, it is that good!  Not only is it raw, it requires no baking and you can enjoy guilt free to satisfy those chocolate cravings…I do!

It was passed on to me by a friend who first saw it on this awesome facebook page, Addicted to Raw. Of course I have tweaked it mainly due to not having the all the ingredients in the cupboard, I will list the full list here but feel free to omit and add as you please.

This is what you will need

1 cup nuts (I use almonds, you can use almond meal also)
10 dates
1/4 cup sultanas
1/4 to 1/2 cup cacao, dependent on taste
2 tsp water
1 tbs coconut oil ( I leave this out)

+ Into a food processor or thermomix add your nuts, process until crumbly.  A bit chunky is ok.
+ Add your pitted dates and sultanas, process again.
+ Add cocoa, mix again and then add your water with as much as you need to bring it all together.
+ Press into a small lined container with lid and chill in the freezer for at least an hour.
+ Cut up as needed.

So if there is one thing you must whip up this weekend, then this is it…go on it will only take 5 minutes!
