Relax, relax, exert, relax….

This weekend we headed south to Yamba for a family holiday, Yamba is a little town north of Coffs Harbour that is surrounded by the ocean and boating waterways.  It is not as ‘exclusive’ as say, a Noosa but it still has that ‘untouched’ feel about it.We struck it lucky once again with the weather and managed to dodge the rain at home..BONUS!
The towels have been struggling to keep up with the drying between frequent swim periods and togs always seem to be wet but no one is complaining.

The relaxation was halted today with me entering into a SUP race. Held in the Clarence river, off the shore of the Blue Dolphin caravan park, a 12 kilometre course was mapped out away from the fishing trawler channel. It was a tough race being pure flat water and a slight side on breeze.
My buoy turns were woeful and something I need to work on… I can feel myself getting a little addicted to this sport but with good reason, it is everything…fitness, friendships and fun.

The girls had a ball and were my number 1 cheersquad.  As my eldest put it ‘We will jump on trampoline, have a swim, say GO MUM, go back to the pool….”  Priorities of a 4 year old!

Anyways, I am off to bed, all tuckered out after a beautiful dinner at the local Tavern and the feeling of complete exhaustion…aaahhhhh……So tell me, what did you get up to over the weekend, was the weather kind?
